Marshall Movie
"Marshall" is a 2017 legal drama film based on the true story of Thurgood Marshall, a young lawyer who would become the first African-American Supreme Court Justice. The film follows Marshall (played by Chadwick Boseman) as he battles through one of his career-defining cases: the defense of Joseph Spell (Sterling K. Brown), a black chauffeur accused of sexual assault and attempted murder of his white socialite employer (Kate Hudson).
Muzzled by a segregationist court, Marshall partners with a courageous young Jewish lawyer (Josh Gad) and together they mount the defense in an environment of racism and anti-Semitism.
The film was directed by Reginald Hudlin and written by Michael Koskoff. It was released in the United States on October 13, 2017, by Open Road Films.
